Paul goes from praising God in the first 14 verses to praying for the Ephesian church in verses 15 – 23. His example is one to follow. We must also pray for one another, that we might know God, know his hope, the riches of his inheritance and know his immeasurable power.
Jonah descends into the belly of the fish, as he sinks deeper and deeper into the Earth. The belly of the fish is his grave, the belly of sheol, but miraculously Jonah survives and at last turns to God in prayer. Even from the belly of the fish, God hears and answers his prayer.
