This is an essay I wrote 5 years ago while at London Seminary. Given our current sermon series in Isaiah, I thought it appropriate to share it with the Church now. Hopefully some will find it helpful and encouraging. Fortunately, I only have the digital copy I submitted, so cannot remember how it was graded by my teachers. Although we are including sung worship in our video services now, I know many people are missing singing together. So I’ve asked people in the Church to tell me why they love certain worship songs and link to a video on Youtube, to inspire us all to keep singing praises to our God. Dear Church In light of the recent guidelines issued by the UK government, and our belief that we are to honour these for the collective health of our nation and to reduce the burden on the NHS, we have decided to temporarily suspend all physical church services and church related meetings.This suspension will last for the next two Sundays at least, at which point we will reassess the situation.  There will not be a physical service for you to attend on 22nd March or 29th March. We are mindful of God’s instruction......
