This sermon encourages us to trust that God hears our cries. Jonah finds himself in a desperate place of distress in the belly of a fish. His sin and disobedience has led him here. It is from this place that he cries out to God for help. Jonah acknowledges his sin before God and repents....

The Prayer from the Soul – Jonah 2
Jonah descends into the belly of the fish, as he sinks deeper and deeper into the Earth. The belly of the fish is his grave, the belly of sheol, but miraculously Jonah survives and at last turns to God in prayer. Even from the belly of the fish, God hears and answers his prayer.
