Safeguarding Is Hugely Important To Us As a Church

We commit as a Church to upholding the highest standards of safeguarding. We do this as part of our commitment to love, care for and protect the vulnerable. The leadership of Christ Church Fareham commits to leading in way that pro-actively and transparently fosters a culture conducive to this.

We have a number of practical measures in place to help achieve this aim:

  • All volunteers working with Under 18’s and/or vulnerable adults are DBS checked.
  • All volunteers working with Under 18’s and/or vulnerable adults must have read our safeguarding policy.
  • All volunteers working with under 18s and/or vulnerable adults must agree to comply with the code of conduct.”
  • All volunteers working with Under 18’s and/or vulnerable adults must attend annual safeguard training.

Reporting A Concern

If you have any safeguarding concerns about anyone or anything to do with Christ Church Fareham we would encourage you to report them immediately. Please do this by emailing a completed reporting concerns form (accessed using link below) to the Safeguarding Team at contact@christchurchfareham.co.uk where it will be dealt with sensitively and promptly.

If you do not feel comfortable reporting your concerns to the Christ Church Fareham Safeguarding team we encourage you to report them immediately to the following:

Children’s Social Services (if about a child) – 0300 555 1386. The out-of-hours emergency number is 0300 555 1373.

MASH (if about an adult) – 0300 555 1373 for use 24 hours a day.

Police – 101 for a non-urgent concern or 999 for an urgent concern.
