Under 18’s Work at Christ Church Fareham

All of our children and youth are highly valued at Christ Church Fareham. Our vision and prayer in all we do is that we would not hinder them, but actively encourage and help them come to know God personally (Matthew 19 v 14). This is why we faithfully put resources into making our under 18’s work as encouraging and as helpful as it can be.

Creche (0-3 years old)

Every Sunday we have a room available at the back of our main meeting available for creche aged children and parents. We supply toys and a speaker so you can still participate in the meeting. However, please note this area is not manned.

Children’s Work (4-11 years old)

Every Sunday our children go out to their children’s work at the beginning of the 3rd song. These interactive sessions include memory verses, bible stories/dramas, games, crafts & discussion. They normally run along themes for 4-6 weeks (E.g. Psalms, Jesus Stories & Adventure Christmas Series).

We also put on special events across the year that includes an annual Light Party and occasional socials. Visiting children as with all of our children’s work are very welcome to join us in these friendly environments.

Youth Work (12 – 18)

Our Youth go out every fortnight at the beginning of the third song. These weeks consist of bible studies, discussion & games. Similar to our children’s work the Youth tend to follow themes that last for 4-6 sessions (E.g. Psalm 139 Identity Series & Youth Alpha). All Youth are given an activity sheet for the weeks they stay in. This is to help them engage with the sermon. The Youth Group also have a monthly serving Sunday.

The Youth have a number of socials throughout the year and we are hoping to take them to New Day in 2023!

All our volunteers are DBS-checked and parents sign their children in and out so everyone is well-looked after.
