In this sermon, we focus on the verse in Proverbs 25:28 and the importance of self-control in the Christian life. Just as a city with broken walls is left vulnerable to attack, a person who lacks self-control leaves themselves open to temptation and sin by the Devil who prowls around looking to devour you.
As Christians, we must learn to exercise self-control, guard our hearts and minds against temptation but we do this but relying on God our father for the strength to do so and to live in a way that honours Him.
