This sermon centres on an encounter a man had with Jesus, the same Jesus who encounters people today.
The man in this story knew he needed help. He was a leper, afflicted by a physical condition without a known cure, and thus excluded from society. So, he falls at Jesus’ feet desperate to be made clean. Jesus moved with compassion, filled with power, heals this man with one touch and four words. This mans encounter with Jesus changed his life forever!
This same unrivalled and awesome power was displayed when Jesus rose from the grave defeating death. Therefore, if you are afflicted by sin, guilt, shame or anything else today and know you too need help, come before the one who has the power to transform your life.
Lord, help us to marvel at your power today, and continue to personally encounter you.
